Animals are too common

Animals are basically to common these days, when I've played early world I couldn't stop looking at the game or I would get beaten by an animal, it was hard to find a minimap without an animal in it, and on several occasions I had to play a labyrinth to escape all these aggressive animals walking or even running around me (damn you lynxes).
Back in legacy animals were more scarce, you could boat for half an our and find nothing else but two boars. Due to it, animals like bears or deers were also used in trades.

yeah I agree it's especially noticeable on mountains when you're dodging multiple packs of wolves and goats and then several adders are guarding the paths between them and if you manage to zig zag through all of that just when you think you're safe an eagle flies in with a mammoth and they knock you around together

Your topics are too common lately.

It might be your luck since everytime I go to hunt for bears or mooses I can't find more than 2 in 30 minutes.
After removing "new" animals, I wouldn't see a big difference between legacy and now. It's very similar, not that big difference from each other.
There is just more things that might wanna bite off a piece of You or run away.

Yes, I disagree because I have clearly different luck from yours. Also, thanks for confirming what I said.
3 badgers*, rabbit, horse and boar.
In legacy: boar and rabbit.
Which means You clearly see new additions that didn't exist in legacy and made world feel more empty and sad in that regard.
Oh, maybe You wanna bring back the big and strong population of build signs from legacy?

The fact that there are different animals than there were in legacy doesn't really matter, although for legacy numbers i just logged in 10 minutes ago and within 4-5 minimaps I've seen an anthill, 3 rabbits and 2 foxes (also 4 wolves, a hedgehog and a goat but that doesn't count right?).
I don't even think about removing these animals, just lower the frequency they spawn with.

Different animals nodes overlaps each other and because there is MORE animals, You see MORE animals than You would see in legacy, because legacy had just less possible spawns.

Also, I remember how some people wanted to make wolfs more aggressive and stuff, because despite of how much animals there is "Experience players can still avoid them easly".

Yeah, wouldn't that mean there is less animals You see in legacy because there is less of those?
Lower the frequency and nobody beside most active players will be able to hunt. Especially nodes that even lower players could use with benefit of trading.

Or maybe you live in some sort of no-player area if they spawn so frequently for You, because for me, clearly not that frequently.

I'm guessing jorb's just added so many varieties of animals without changing any spawn rates, so the spawns have just added up like crazy. They definitely should change.
