Metoric Fragments

Item that can spawn during a meteor event, fate based and a limited amount spawn per any event. Maybe 20 fragments can make a bar. Thoughts? Meteorite might need to be more useful in general, but the fragments could still be a nice trade item. Idea inspired by this:

Alternatively 10 fragments could make a nugget, but in that scenario I think the spawn shouldn't be fate based or limited by anything other than the events time.

The game needs to be completely reworked before we need to start thinking about noobs. Anything that benefits noobs either benefits the dedicated players more or removes some sort of competitiveness this game has.

It's kind if a cool idea but I dont think you'd want to devalue meteorites by random fate. Maybe instead fragmets of meteor are spread throught out a wide area and the timers act in such a way it would be difficult and not worth the effort of a few nuggets to challenge every location at once. Might give hermits and smaller factions a change at the events.

Game is better off without such shards because from start of playing until someone can reach lvl 9 they can probably get shards for it while never attending actual meteor event.

It's also not necessary for people to go to level 9, eight will work fine for them.

You're also trying to kill the one potential thing to still ever give competition in this game trying to turn it in luck foragable so that's absolute shit idea.

On the other hand, OP suggests something that might interest 98% of playerbase (it's probably less, but still most likely majority) giving a very small chance to obtain something otherwise not obtainable to them (reasons may be many).

Not everything needs to be obtainable by everyone.


You know what we should do, every time there is a patch you can go collect with fate some shards from old hats because they are unobtainable to 99% of the playerbase who didn't play in the old days so it's only fair everyone gets to obtain everything by existing and walking around

shit idea.
Fix combat, make it not to be a pure stat check, more people will be able to pvp and then you would see a bigger playerbase competing for these meteorites

Without the stupid meteor tracking the entire concept would be more similar to finding them randomly anyways. I think it would balance itself out by having people out and about looking for shards all at the same time, there might even be more meaningful and interesting combat encounters beyond having the same group of 10 people who actually care about pvp meeting up once per month.

I don't think that combat has anything to do with this particular idea, even if combat were completely different and perfect it wouldn't make people more interested in gathering in the same spot once per month and having a massive brawl for something that has extremely limited use.

Events SHOULD be random and untrackable, finding them should based on networks of communication and should be limited to kingdom chats and alliances, and there should be way more of these events and different kinds of them. Total and complete noobs should definitely be able to get these interesting and rare materials, and wandering randomly around the world should be 100 times more rewarding. If you have titan fighting stats you are already rewarded by being able to confidently attack any of the people you see wandering around and have no problem with PvE, you don't need to be the only people getting rare materials too.

I see no harm if it will be same rare as gold pebbles from random work.
it would take 20 years to gather 5 bars for minehole. but it would be just nice addition for foraging and it will be valuable.
