What if the world reset on a schedule instead of resetting randomly? Think it would be a good idea, yay or nay?

What would that fix? Nothing
people will still stop playing after 1 month and not start again because they wait for new world.
People lose their will to play long before the actual reset because they may think that anything that they do is not permanent because reset will soon come anyway.

the game will die during september october november december maybe even sooner because why continue if the world will reset fairly soon?
people will quit even more frequently because they know there IS a reset.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

Im always +1 to any world wipe idea, because this is most interesting gameplay for this game, and i hope devs will understand it someday.
But from the other point of view on this idea - it will force people to plan their gameplay based on world wipes. Upcoming wipe will stop people from building a big project, stop quality spiralling , devalue other player competions or even prevent returning to the game. Which will lead us to dead worlds after 3-4 month of new world.

Just want to point out that almost every reason you guys mentioned is already present.
>people will still stop playing after 1 month and not start again because they wait for new world? -Check
>People lose their will to play long before the actual reset because they may think that anything that they do is not permanent because reset will soon come anyway? -Double check, personally I could be playing right now if devs would clearly state that there will be no wipe in following several months.
>the game will die during september october november december maybe even sooner because why continue if the world will reset fairly soon? + Which will lead us to dead worlds after 3-4 month of new world -Check, you can just look at online charts, there is a site monitoring H&H online. To be fair online is about 200 just because of people dropping the game being replaced by other people, who're looking for something to play, and because players log in a lot of alts at once.
>Upcoming wipe will stop people from building a big project, stop quality spiralling , devalue other player competions or even prevent returning to the game -Check. The same reason as before - world is older than a year, and judging by previous worlds wipe most likely *will* happen soon.

On the topic I think that planned wipes are not really that great. I'd rather wish for better devs-community feedback, so we'll just be informed what devs are planning conserning wipes. I wish they'd state that unless something unexpected happens, wipes won't happen without players being informed in advance (+-1month?) about devs planning to make a wipe because of reasons. This way people who want to play for a while or do some big projects won't be unhappy, and it won't really stop hermits and newer players from chilling around. I honestly not happy with current obscurity.

Currently, people are just guessing what devs are thinking, building theories like "he said <I won't add this mid-world>, so that means the current world is in the middle of it's lifespan" or "It's written that they're working on bigger things in the pipe section, that means they're planning something huge that can't be introduced without world reset".
It's true that all the games with regular wipes don't just go and say "wipe will happen in 6 months, 1 week, 3 days, 8 hours, 11 secons", but at least community management gives some hints and sets up general mood, often based on current state of community in general.

^^ not even close. PvP-gods will leave as fast as they loose/win no matter how long will world last.
The reasons were not about them but about hermits won't play the game if there is a world wipe in a month. So clearly it would be absolutely dead world for a month before the wipe, and devs will make it shorter, and ppl leave earlier until we have 1-month worlds for PvP-competitors only.
Not going to judge is it bad or good, but clearly it should be stated as game description as far as HnH is going to be PvP-arena, but since it is still described as an open-world sandbox with a shit-ton of peaceful activities - we shouldn't focus on demands of PvP-losers as game-dev guides.

And on topic - devs said clearly that they don't plan any scheduled wipes (with tons of reasoning why) and that's one of the worse ideas I've heard because of reasons said in this topic before. Solves nothing + brings a lot of problems
