New world hunting

So has hunting be fixed? every world start for the last 4 worlds we've been asking for animals to not run away at super speeds, get more crippled when we beat on them.
This problem will pop back up since not everyone will have 100+Q swords again.

Also I remember a few animals being super dicks from the wounds they inflicted that were near impossible to heal with late game items.
like seal's, and I forget the others.

Running is a bit annoying, but that's what horses are for. I guess the smaller animals could run slower, or lose stamina quickly, so you can catch them on foot.
Not sure about wounds tho. Animals that leave them, are supposed to be a challange. If you're going to hunt seals without proper gear and skills, you're gonna get sealed. Same with bears, you don't hunt them if you're not sure you're gonna win.
What i would like to see fixed in hunting is fixing the cheesing. Hit-and-run from boat / cliff is still a way to go to beat way stronger animals. Not to mention Boat + bow, and boat blocking (i think it's still a thing, no?)

I'd like to see animals speed debuffed greatly, best option would be to make most animals basic speed like hearthling base speed but give them some resource like stamina that could be used for special abilities like fast running, so you could do something called Persistence Hunting.
And traps, they are requested all the time.
But there needs to be balance, if we debuff speed and give heartlings more ways to fight we should also buff some animals with other cancer mechanic, like stuns ¦] .

That's the problem. Horse hunting is one of the only option's for even hunting a fox. We need to fix that.

you as always talk about combat when dont understand how it works.
problem is not that animals flee, problem is that them turn back if you restart combat with them (you can immediately stop the fight and start again when they start to run away) (stupid AI)
also every animal should have distance attack to prevent boat hunting at world start... (and even mammoth should not check vandal perms!)
its very important when we have fixed metal spiral, stone digging and farm botting at w12, need to very intently look at bones quality and hunting abuses

Running and kiting is part of the fight, the problem is the AI is too easy to exploit. I find it okay that i can beat an animal by kiting it and reducing openings, rather than just button mashing. It still takes time and put you on risk. The bigger problem is with boats, as you can endlessly kite back and forth, when animals just mindlessly stare at you. Ranged attack, or some hard disengagement should be implemented - if AI can't reach you, it could just run away and heal.

What is this weak ass sauce? You can't be serious... I hunt foxes without horses all the time. You have to pick terrain, and consider your attack, and generally... I dunno... Think like a hunter? But that seems appropriate as part of hunting.

Horses make it easier, sure... But you hardly *need* a horse...

Animals need to have stamina, and persistence hunting needs to be a thing. We need to be able to, and have to in most cases, hunt them and wear them down over time rather than just face-tanking them.

hunting is boring deff needs rework we tend to just block animals with boulders and kill them that way.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

This is the real problem. But animals do break boulders now, though?

Give animals stamina and aggro bars.

Stamina works like it does with players.

Aggro bar raises dynamically from being near the animal. When it reaches certain point, animal will aggro. Running away without dealing any damage will reduce the aggro bar and if it goes low enough, the animal will drop combat.
