Have a tutorial quest for every skill (hunting foraging etc)

Every time you buy a skill, you get the quest. If you complete the whole thing, you get the LP you spent on it back. The quests would be nonrandom and similar in scope to the existing tutorial quests. Foraging/Hunting/Lumberjacking and such quests would just be designed to teach noobs the basics of how it works. More advanced/expensive skills have a tutorial function but are also harder to complete

The quest for "murder" skill will be awesome then xD.
On serious note - i could see quests for the few basic skills, but only that. It sounds fun for noobs, but in reality it would help people to LP their alts, with everything already waiting to be done, and that i dislike.

Not like this is remotely relevant with 55 trees which each provide discovery LP for both the block and the board in addition to tree products if found in non-log form, plus 24 bushes, plus 20+ boulders, plus...

More tutorial quests would be useful to guide newbies (especially for the less intuitive aspects of the UI, such as CTRL+LMB to dismount), though it would be nice, if we get more of them, if we could dismiss the tutorial quests instead of having to complete them each character to prevent the tutorial quest from suddenly becoming selected due to some basic action you did.

The average player doesn't get nearly all that LP though, especially not the type of player who needs tutorials. Also lacking the bonus LP from sub/verify significantly impacts how easily you're able to get over the initial exploration hurdle to see useful things.

I think more tutorial quests would be good for the game, with an option to disable them maybe. They could have different triggers though, not just buying skills.

Oh yeah, you should definitely be able to abandon the tutorial quests if you already know how to do them and can't be bothered for a small amount of LP

That wasn't about newbies, it was against the counterargument that a system like this would be abused by experienced players that want to feed quick LP to their alts. That's already possible in far more efficient ways and the repeated discovery LP for essentially the same items would need to be nerfed before this becomes remotely an issue.

I'm not particularly worried that an implementation of tutorial quests would be abused. The rewards don't have to be large.

The speed of bot creation is by no means a limit to them right now, making it slightly faster in order to improve beginner experience would be an acceptable trade imo anyway.

Skills tend to already refund themselves, indirectly. Hunting allows you to gain hide entrails meat bone discovery form caught animals, carpentry allows you to gain LP from crafting wooden tableware and discovering them.

The Experience Points from the intro quests makes it worth doing them.

The LP refund for doing these intro quests is unnecessary. Instead, maybe a small XP reward. (100-500 points?)

I myself aren't against this as long as the quests can be dropped or ignored, or have a reward worth doing the quests on new characters, alts or a new world either one.

I'm going to note that loftar and jorb have both posted the "hand-holding" discussion in the past, and there's a balance between providing instruction on the basics of the game and oversimplifying the introduction. I think loftar's post on the matter was the "what if Quake was made today" video from about 9 years ago.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

While I'm no fan of forced tutorials, Haven is currently leaning far more towards classic flight sim 'read the entire fucking manual before you can even consider starting to play the game' than towards Super Mario Bros-style game design where the gameplay is self-explanatory. Once people can leave boats without having to look up a guide we can talk about where the line for 'too much explanation' is.
