Unfired Treeplanter's Pot Fuel Requirement

Postby Burinn » Thu Mar 19, 2020 9:08 pm

Why does a treeplanter's pot only take 8 branches worth of fuel to burn when something of comparable size, a garden pot, take 23 branches worth of fuel?

Treeplanter's pots should take just as much fuel as garden pots. The current requirements are inconsistent.

Treeplanter pot is small enough that I can fit many in backpack. Garden pot is so large I can carry only one. I think these are not same size products.

They are identical sizes unfired. And ostensibly almost the same object.

After they are fire garden pot is much bigger that I can only carry one. Fuel is use as bulking agent for it to grow to this size, so it must cost many branch to gain this mass.

The only reason the garden pot has to be lifted is because they didn't want to write an item into the game that could both be an object in a backpack and a physical object that takes up space, like a barrel.

If anything, a garden pot would LOSE weight and size in a kiln as moisture evaporates out of the clay!

Fix this Gorbo.

Any item that can be stockpile?

This is your thinking, but it can be seen reality do not match. Maybe change your thinking instead of try and change reality.

Stockpiles are obviously fundamentally different than what I'm talking about,.

Which is why I made a thread. "Reality" in the game does not make any sense. Gorbo should alter reality in the game to make it make sense.

Proposal: increase garden pot to 3x3 and leave kilns at 5x5 so that Burinn understands that gardener pots are the size they are. (Please don't actually do this unless kilns are expanded to 6x6.)

A complete aside: You only need a pot of about 2-3L in size to start a tree in. What you grow determines the largest sized garden pot you need. Some plants need a good 30-40L (or more) of soil to properly root and grow.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Bee that stung and a hat are both 1x1 in inventory, therefore bees in Haven are the size of a human head.
