Bone Greaves remove fine bone from recipe since wish bone not a finebone now. reduce cost of recipe.
All Leather Armor reduce cost.increase wear.
All metal armor increase cost x2, add huge penalty to strenght, increase agility penalty.
Right now bronse armor gives -7 agility and steel plate -10 agility at q10. Im sure bronse armor shoud give - 50 strenght and -30 agility at q 10, steel plate -100 strenght and -50 agility at q 10.

people over 2000 now, and at start of the world they take 500+ less then 1 month. This change gives a bit more time for leather armor

You're better off just skipping leather armor

So exactly how does your original post which suggests "bronze armor shoud give - 50 strenght and -30 agility at q 10" balance armor at q10? all you're doing there is making armor completely useless in the entire game. completely ignoring the even more batshit insanity -100 on steel you suggest. That means that if you have a q100 bronze plate (just the chestplate too with what you suggested) you would have -158 strength. How does that rebalance armor?

All for the sake of making leather last longer? come on.

Also, combat stat-equalisation is a thing. if you have atleast half of the stats as the person you're in combat with, you essentially have the same stats. Sounds like the problem is less "leather armor is bad" and more "i joined the world late and don't stand a chance because everyone has massive stats from months of character development"

I think leather armor shouldn't have a negative agility at all.

Maybe it should be -40 strenght, but people will use this armor even with -50 strenght at q 10 anyway, because it easy to make and give you best armor bonus. what if this change will happened. You will use leather armor first 2 weeks, then you will take Cutthroat Cuirass, and when steel armor hit 360 + what will you do? Will you hunt whales and high q animals to make 1 good Cutthroat Cuirass, or you will make steel armor that can be easy done for all your warriors and have much more armor bonus. People use only bronze plate and steel armor, and after such huge nerf they will use them, because its to hard to make good Cutthroat Cuirass

metal is more expensive than leather and metal armor is supposed to be more powerful, everything is fine as it is

The fact that leather armor is so weak that early world it's an active waste of materials to make is bad. By the time you have leather that you could in theory make it, it's so mediocre you don't bother since a single shield is enough to deal with minor chip damage and anything more than chip damage leather armor doesn't do enough for. And then of course metal replaces it in all ways, which I agree is fine.

I still feel like buffing leather armor (rebalancing all of the noob pieces tbh) could make it useful in the stages of "we don't really quite have metal yet, but hunting for food is nice".
