We request trading as content earlier in the world! make trading bench's that only require wood and simple early world stuff (not cloth). Planks and logs please!

+1. Currently trading gets started much too late, there's a lot of items that become useless very quickly.

I'm picturing market stalls like the one Lucy uses in the Peanuts comic. Still, costly to learn Trade so you can receive some coins in exchange, so maybe distinguish market stands (which use currency and have prices) from barter stands (which specifically trade one item for another item).

How about a "Bandy Bench" item that cannot trade metal items or currency/tokens?

I imagine it looking like an old wooden church pew using three item slots to buy from, and has the option to put up to three decals on the upright backrest section as a 'sign' for the accepted goods.

I'm not against it I just think it is pointless.
I assume the intention is to speed up the appearance of the public market.
But the public market requires a lot of work and time investment:
- First of all to setup the main village of the market owners
- To explore the world and find a suitable place
- Dig, pave, claim, wall, build infra, etc
- Markets usually go for gold/silver coins to support the currency value, it requires lvl 4 mine at least on it's own (so several weeks if lucky)
- Quite simply, people need something to sell and something to buy. It takes a couple of weeks to set up the industry to the level where you have enough meaningful goods to sell outside of your village. And even the pearls/world resources will start to appear only after week 1/2 (if we speak about hermits and casual players)

So the cloth requirement is not really massive compared to the other requirement

Maze dreams of capitalist utopia village with trading. Would also get used in village storage systems.

My intention of rushing flax this world is for the second option.

To create any coins you need a coin press which requires steel... So cloth is not an issue :(

You think this was a complaint, it was not. I love village storage systems and would absolutely love having them earlier instead of needing to rush flax for that specific purpose because of my arthritis.

Nor do I think capitalist utopia is a bad use if that's how people want to play! Do what makes you happy.

Most of the players quit before markets become a thing. Currently for proper market we have to wait 1-2 months, it's longer than average player plays the game...

I totally agree we need earlier version of markets. Trading is such a nice addition to the game but available when most people quit... I would love to trade with others much earlier.

Devs, please consider
