Currently, the other camera modes are basically hidden. I consider this a major problem because I think I can argue that the default camera mode ("ortho" locked into 4 angles) is the objectively worst camera mode. It presumably attempts to imitate the isometric view of the 2d Legacy" Haven but only succeeds in making the control scheme clunkier. Telling people to :cam bad used to be standard, I personally like :cam ortho -f but problem with both is that they require a console command that can be extremely confusing for a first-time user to figure out. (You need to make sure you have no windows selected, know that typing : is both part of the command and brings up the console.)
My suggestion is to update the "day of time" widget to have an outer ring around it, a compass indicator of sorts, for the camera direction. If you want to keep the current default camera, give it markers on the NW-SE-SW-NE corners that indicate those four positions. Outer ring either skips between them (when default camera is on) or unlocked (for ortho freemode) and can even "disassembled" a bit to enable the "bad camera."
