I support the author of this post, the logic of changes in the mechanics of obtaining steel breaks the overall perception of the game as a whole and logical. A mathematical approach in games is inappropriate (a method of planning people's experience is needed instead of mathematical formulas that do not take into account multiple aspects of the game), it is necessary to build a new system in which every step of the players is calculated based on the vast experience of the game and the people/communities within it. I will give a personal example that is not related to obtaining steel and wrought iron: I decided to build a small sailing ship, and I drew a design for the sail (after spending a lot of time) in a graphics editor. However, when I uploaded the design and tried to create a Sketch, I realized that I needed Turquoise Pigment, which is made from Dross, a byproduct of the Finery forge. After searching, I found that I could not build it because I needed to find Iron Ochre. This is an example of a poorly designed change that did not take into account all the consequences.
