Improving the Mound Bed

Postby serVar161 » Sun Apr 19, 2026 11:17 am

It's good that don't have to build a new mound bed every time, but would like add a few improvements.

1) Show the range of the Mound Bed.
Constantly using "build Mound Bed" to check its range is inconvenient.

2) The ability to refill it before it stops working. 1 charge is used up - you can refill it.
It's crucial in winter.

3) Show the percentage of its fullness.
So there's information and an approximate idea of when it needs to be filled.

This is actually something that needs to be done asap, as we have no way to predict when mound beds will go dry. as it is now we'll need to build backup beds so we don't wake up one winter day with entire farm destroyed.

Yes, I lost half my harvest that way last winter.

Building a spare bed—the point of updating the bed was to avoid having to build a new one.
Also, to do this, you need to know when the old one was built and how long it can last. This is difficult without a digital or external indicator.

They might as well scrap the whole winter feature at this point. It’s clear they originally had different plans for it but they can't handle pressure from a small group of vocal forum warriors.

Yes, winter isn't what it used to be. But too many people stopped playing during the winter. With the advent of "garden heaters", winter doesn't even feel like it at the base. But since it's there, I'd like it to be enjoyable to use.

Knowing gardeners, I can tell you that this won't be enough. At least 8 х 10.

what "you don't"?
I have a dacha in a gardening community, half of my friends in the game are gardeners, and I do a little of it myself - I know what I'm talking about.
You can never have too much planting space. Especially in a greenhouse.
Adding just one row and one column of space to a greenhouse won't make people start using it.

One row and col would make the more space efficient then they currently are; the only real use case for green houses at the moment is farming on a mountain.
