$10 a month is not expensive.

If you can afford a computer, internet, and the necessities to live, then $10 should not be expensive whatsoever.
The only possible excuse one could have is that they are either a student, or a greasy underage kid.

agreed, then when ppl stop playing and the ones that do realize they are in an empty world they will eventually quit too and the game will be dead. i honestly wouldn't mind paying, the thing that got me is the 48 hour "trial" and the 12 hours a month thing.. lol you are basically saying pay 15$ for 12 hours... even high end games that have been around aren't that expensive, and if they are i can still play over 12 hours within a month span..

Thanks for the information guys. But also what I saw there was a $5/Month or you know $55/Yr(like my $5 discount?) would put them at a $500 each month in the slow season.
Plus there is always cosmetic sells.

BTW: doesn't matter to me that much I will be able to afford or I will not. I just want the server to be up and playing.

?? You aren't paying for that time, it's free. Sure, it's not a lot of time, but there isn't a penny of cost to it.

A few things to point out:

-From what I've seen (and experienced), the release has been so far met with mixed criticism. I don't want to debate every little detail here, but you can't say that it was an inarguably amazing upgrade that'll increase the worth and popularity of the game tenfold. (Inability to find friends? Removal of third party client support? And you really can't call the graphics cutting-edge.)

-A lot of lower-class people can't afford to spend $100/yr on a single videogame when struggling to manage a budget while barely avoiding going in the red, even in the US. This says nothing of people in other countries :(

-I'm willing to bet a large percentage of your userbase is made of students and greasy underage kids. What other kind of people does a hardcore niche f2p mmo attract? ;)

-It might be better to look at daily log-ins rather than monthly uniques? I'm not sure how exactly we want to measure a "regular" player but somebody who logs on a few times a month or only once is highly unlikely to spend any money on the game.
