Why would this even be an issue? If people's "feelings" are so easily hurt by words that they need to censor people, instead of kill them in game like normal people, then I think we found a bigger issue than the so called "racists". Simply put this game isn't for everyone, and if you try to make it for everyone it would cease to be the work of art that it is.

If you want to play an MMO that has censorship, there are plenty out there to choose from. This particular game does not happen to be one of them, and it does not need to be.

I'm not sure I fully understand how the introduction of money into the system has implications that things have to change. We might as well be playing a different game then.

Haven and Hearth is known for the devs' "hands off" approach to in game moderation, if this is the draw and appeal to the game why should it be crutched? Because someone spent their money on the internet before knowing the committment they got themselves into? It's not as if gameplay affecting content is barred behind a paywall, the only things you can pay for are time and cosmetics.

There is no reason why the devs should be at the supporters beck and call unless their intentions are to cater that crowd. Not sure about you but that doesn't sound like Jorb and Loftar to me. If they disagree they will change, but if they agree to this sentiment then nothing will change because it does not need to. Unless there are legal reasons that motivate change, Haven does not need to change.

Are you guys seriously defending those racist and offensive people? I'm fairly sure it's not that hard to add a script to filter the name creation, which would already reduce the amount of offensive names out there.

Saying "They are only 2 people" is no excuse. If they don't have time for it, they should get more staff involved. They are pushing players to pay for the game (because let's face it, the free option is more like a "trial" than a real option), now they have to give a certain level of service to those paying customers.

I'm tired of reading about how they don't have time to do this and that. If you are too busy, get someone who will do it for you. And since now you are asking money for it, pay the dude (a % of your revenue, so you can't say you don't make enough.. gain 0, pay 0).
