I can understand that view point.

I also understand that they let slips details of where they are hunting, and how powerful they are.

The people who they hunt (noobs/hermits) are not going to be the forum informed types. Doubly so since they're trying to incite a rage forum post, which any forum worthy types will know only encourages them. And anyone who's serious about hunting them will be reading the megathread.

I don't see enough benefit gained from encouraging them. Sabi even said specifically the entire point of this merge was to take away the spotlight, and it was fully expected there'd be backlash from them over it.

I am a hermit, a hermit, thankfully that is still alive. Peoples bragging threads has allowed that to happen.

The megathread is to much chaos ond confusion.

If the game was 100% free then so be it. With this merger it is taken away a part of the paid enjoyment of its players to brag of thier kills, and a viable intel source for others.

The options seem to be these:

1. Make the effort of adding content to your murder posts to not get thrown into the megathread.
2. Make admins create a very specific board that will serve only to host bad posts.

Restructuring the forum only because 9-10 people are lazy or uncreative doesn't seem fair to me.

Those 9-10 players are the only ones adding content worth reading.

It also takes more off the admins plate. Instead of going thru every post and trying to decide if it fits what you think it should be, if it is all ready in the bad post section as you call it, then it frees them up.

board for 2. already exists, it's called HEL.

Btw, did one of you notice how active topics and new post list is actually useable again after the merge?

So you admit to forcing what you feel is meaningful content on to other people or taking away what others feel is meaningful content.

Also if you never used the active topics, and new post list, then what you did had no effect on what they were doing.

The megathread was a mistake.

not exactly. the point was to not have a bunch of low content threads of random murders. we had a murder megathread at the start of last world, i didn't hear any complaints then.

Did the last world have over 1000 people paying money?

forums are free, and posting on them is a privilege, not an inalienable right that you get for giving loftorb $10 a month.
