Building a raft in da woods. Because fuck rivers, fuck crossroads and fuck horses that cant swim!
Give a man a game engine and he delivers a game. Teach a man how to make a game engine and he never delivers anything.

Fair enough... Though if it's a throw-away raft then throw-away rope walk for it doesn't look like that big of an overstretch... but yeah, you have a point. I was missing something and it was a raft. :)

Why not just give it the same treatment as potters wheel? Takes longer and is half quality without the rope walk

Perhaps we could apply the potters wheel principle to this.
When you make rope by hand, quality is halved.
But when you use a rope walk, quality will not suffer.

What about now it sucks having to use the rope walk all the time, can't we have hand crafted ropes at reduced quality like clay things that aren't made on potter's wheel.

In case you have not noticed. Rope making is end game content.

Early world, make rope one the go instead of bringing back like 30 fibres, you can bring back 15 ropes.
Also early world, when you can't always afford to take all the ropes your buddies made, just make yourself one foraging.

It will be extremely nice to have until we have large fibre fields, which can take weeks for sprucecaps.

Cattail fibres are decent source for early-game rope material.
