The road system as it stands is insanely bad. Or maybe I should show you all the possibilities you can abuse the visitor debuff to pretty much guarantee you are forever safe?

I like how your whole argument is basically that traveling should be a huge pain in the ass. Well, that's nice and all, but not everyone has 6 hours to spend traveling across the map to trade. I've built my fair share of extensive roads and the ease with which they're griefed and regularity with them bugging out for no reason is obnoxious.
This cross road system is nice, but it's ridiculously fragile for the amount of effort it takes to create.

I'm not denying gunnars post. I do think they should be stronger and harder to grief. as my understanding of J&L new system, they will have a way to scout ahead.

my post argument is the fking dumasses who are all over the forums going "wah wah wah it takes to long to build a sign post, it was better with the old system"
there so many issues and abusively exploits with the old system. Namily the fking retarded botting that went along with it. the raiding, the griefing, the need to make alt citys...fk why do I even need to list this.

The old CR system is broken. any person in AD or DIS can explain this. having a CR to every point of the world x100.
DIS own CR had a CR to every minigrid.

just forget it.

lol what, this road system just promotes botting to grief other's roadsigns and build your own, how did CRs promote botting?

Your argument that villages don't have wide spreading road networks is hilariously misinformed.

Suggestions have been made before; reworking roads might not be as necessary if they are implemented:

Trade: idol-to-idol trade in some manner.
Spawning: kingdom charter stones.

I agree that there should be roads projecting authority.

I agree that the present travel mechanics aren't up to snuff, and I'm not sure better roads is the solution to that.

"Fixing" current "roads" wont solve the problem.
