+ 1
last world all my cheese where from aurochs and clover, to be required to play is a big turn of for a game.
Why dont make livestock like beehive : you feed them you get products, you dont they just eat grass and worms around and dont grow or product anything nor reproduce ?

I'm not sure about a complete pause, I'd rather see a great consumption reduction, a swill stock like coops and a realistic size / cattle space available in it... A cow doesn't really hibernate, the idea is nice though.

You would have to prepare your cattle for your vacations and give it love and attention, free things do not feel like hnh anyway?

Edit: @simimi getting cow milk isn't hard, make them reproduce once and you will always get milk, don't let them reproduce and they will eat less. It wasn't that hard to do last world... easier than getting clovers?

The trouble is livestock dying of starvation.
Sometime you are just a little bored of playing and want to try another game, than there is nostalgia and you want to come back, its easyer to do when you know you dont have to redo all the livestok stuf from the begining.

I guess you are strictly speaking about hermits, if a whole village leaves the game at the same time there is a problem?

If you abandon your home it decays, same for your cattle, imho even crops should die at some point, like maybe after 1-2 weeks. Barn would let you have more time and you can still stock seeds before leaving and replant after. Plus the biggest risk is raid - cf Zox?

If you play HnH as hermit and go for nice holiday for few weeks. You shouldnt lose all your animals I think.
We need more stuff in game that makes it possible to not log on every day.
Too hardcore game for many people. Because daily you have to: Rotate all fields, feed animals, ramcheck etc.

Totally agree, I just think it shouldn't be too easy, you shouldn't be able to go off for 6 months, come back and have your 50 cows waiting for you (yes I exaggerate on this one) :D

Nercoing because I really want this feature added asap.

having to log on everyday to feed animals was one of reasons that was making game feel like a chore, that lead me to getting bored of game.

And now im bored of game again, being able to quit until new content added and not lose animals would be real nice like.
