Haha, silly idea.
Brimstone for village claims was something that rubbed me the wrong way already but at least at the point you want to build a village you should be established.
Nidbanes were added after I stopped playing last world so I don't have any direct experience with them, however they do seem like a really good idea to serve as a deterrent to senseless sprucecap slaying... Well, they did before they were locked behind a resource that will inevitably be controlled by larger organized groups that don't need really need them as much.
