have it in another "realm" so if you die, you just get a whopping debuf as you are sent back to hafen with a thud from the gods. Much worse than concussion, but you dont lose your character.

Have the enemies not go for the kill. So they will happily KO, but not kill as in, they wont hit you on the ground. But if you have like 4 HHP and it hits you... your own fault.

Have them wonder round the world, but not attack people on claims, village or personal... however, they would be immune to damage FROM within personal claims.

Make it a valhala only boss. Would make valhala very interesting! And have little to no consequence to the mortal realm other than maybe a global event that gives the whole world a temporary bonus after the great beast was slain? Or maybe just for bragging rights and fun really, would be interesting I think.

There should be penalties for failing, in the same way there should be rewards for success. But they should be balanced. You want to just fight him, ok... you die, you get a real world penalty, but not death. You live, you get access to new things to make from discoveries... as well as a shield boost for your village or something.

Giving enemies a ranged attack is enough to counter shitty ai

I'd rather be in melee range using maneuvers than taking constant armor DMG with some armor penetration aswell

You can still use bow in melee range and bypass all of the enemy manevuers while using 7 defenses deck.

This sounds a lot like raid tactics. maybe it should be implemented just for something else to do.

Although, i think they should have their own "field" to fight in... or people will just cliff kill, or use rivers to block off assults.
