Two wrongs don't make a right. If you kill me for committing a crime against you, why should I not be allowed to avenge myself?

Should a person executing death penalty be convicted afterwards?

Also, the scent execurion should have somewhat longish timer to prevent abuse in heat of combat.

Ranging and banditry are completely different types of activity. I don't see why ranging would be considered a crime, given that the intent is to purge those that leave scents, not generate more.

You are assuming that all non-ranging murders are banditry. What if someone steals from my Salt node, I catch him in the act, he flees, and I chase him down and kill him on unclaimed land? I killed a criminal, but I still left a murder scent. Should someone be able to kill me in response without me being able to do anything about it or avenge myself?

An execution is when a society determines one of its members must die for their acts. I am not part of whatever social group wants me dead for wronging them; for them to kill me is either a murder or an act of war.

Given the current geopolitical landscape it's simply collateral damage, in case you're not in the right country.

FFS people. A "crime" in Haven does not mean something that is wrong or illegal. All it means is an action that leaves evidence. The name really needs to be changed..
