I'm not sure about the push back against the idea tbh.

Having the option for private chests doesn't detract from your currently successful setups?

Because in Salem at least, if you had a lock on a container you had a 100% chance of it being bashed when someone raided you. I'd much rather not have to rebuild every cupboard and chest if I got raided.

Though, the strongbox in legacy was a pretty tough thing to break. They should reimplement them.

IIRC, you pretty much needed a ram to break them

We should expand locks to houses and shit too, yeah.

If this is ever implemented (I'd like to see it since my roommate keeps spreading enthropia throughout my whole house), this should come either with a CONSIDERABLE expansion to the keyring, or as a PClaim function (one would set the colours for players from his kinlist able to unlock the container without Vandalism, all others would require to Vandalise (break) or Theft (pick) the lock before opening the container, with according penalties and possible check for Strength delta (vandalism) and Stealth+Int / Dexterity+Smithing delta (Theft)).

Not really. There are some big things standing in the way of it right now, namely a server side project we have called object-controlled objects.
