bats dont need a nerf at all, they are easy, keep def up and have some agil and unarmed and turn on sprint so you can kill em b4 they run too much ez

Not going to claim they are broken.
But the picture sums up perfectly what is annoying to deal with.
The boatload of small wounds that you need to treat independently.
Which is always a hassle (unless ancient root), but early game kinda resource intensive as well.

i would argue dont fight bats then till your not getting wounds from them all the time, kill a couple and make a bat cape

Get something that is (partially) redundant by the time you can get it.

If you're forced to go cave mining, at the beginning, you don't always have a choice in that matter.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but there's a few circumstances that will make you have to fight them before you're really ready to not get damaged by them at all.
Just a bit of devil's advocacy.

yea, i hear ya on the redundant thing, but just gotta kill 4 bats, which should not yield a ton of wounds and then your safe from bats till your ready to fight em

pre batman protection i think the argument to nerf the wounds a bit woulda been more understandable, im still healing wounds from bats that i got early on in the world while building a base underground, but now having that cape saves you from most of that, minus the initial 4 you gotta kill.

Bats are an infinite source of hide, meat, and bones. Sometimes as high as q60. Suggesting that they should also not harm you too much seems extremely unbalanced in my opinion.

Though I guess if you can't kill them then you won't have a bat cape, lol, keep hf outside until you can, or build a log cabin in your cave and put your hf in there, they are pretty easy to kill ... unless they all gang up on you. I don't think they need to be nerfed. :P

Thats what i have. They still shouldn't give so many Deep Cuts.

I play at 2 fps, meaning it is basically impossible to do anything, let alone hunt, dry and tan hides for armor.
Total misplay.

Neither do figuratively and literally.
