Another thing is animal rights activists. IRL cock-fighting is illegal in most parts of the world. While no real animals wouldn't be hurt, somebody is going to find it offensive and damage their rectum.

Yea, that's my biggest fear as well.
Not even joking, though the rest of my post is somewhat of a more dark humor take on haven and hearth's more...unethical sides.

We systematically kill animals (wild, and peaceful ones, just as much as the hostile ones)
Beat them into submission for domestication.
Select, breed, and slaughter them by the dozens for small Q increases.
Then there's the part where noobies get killed, for fun.
People raided, betrayed, murdered, shot etc.
Or the ever fun parralel between a certain historic event where a group of people got blamed for certain problems (Russians cause lag, kill them all)

BUT GOD, will somebody please think about the virtual chickens ;D

In the philippines this is a ver popular thing. Not sure if legal but people bet a lot and Ive seen some terrible things. I just love animals and truat me, this has nothing to do with animal farming or human alimentation.
They atach small blades to their rear "finger" and let them fight. The one who dies it does it bleeding with a high amount of suffering, and thr one who survives it does with hard injuries.
Also this is a game for all ages, even if its not rated yet. I think, jokes aside, that its a terrible idea.

Mind you, there is a moral difference between purposefully engineering fights between animals for sport, and killing animals strictly for food and materials. BUT in a world where half the players are hard-bitten, sarcastic dicks (myself included), half of whom will kill you for looking at 'em the wrong way, it would fall on deaf ears.

Besides, this is a game. There's really two rules in a game: have fun, and don't exploit the mechanics. I steal. I take things others made. Others do what in the real world would be far worse. But this is a game. Its effect on one's eternal soul is low, negligible.
