Can it? As long as it has the same kind of timer as regular hearthing it'd strictly be a worse form of hearthing and a straight upgrade from being KO'd outside of someone's claim.

I am in agreement with the OP that knocking the player out is stupid, there was a discussion not long ago regarding cave gates and this exact same issue and it is just as stupid in that situation as well.
I'd be more willing to give someone a free port to their hearth fire while they are red handed rather than keep it how it currently is. More often than not when you're red handed and you're trying to get back home you aren't even being chased around by anyone you're just walking the timer out until you can hearth again.
Keep in mind this mechanic works both ways, I could be a friendly player visiting your village when you take advantage of the visitor debuff to attack me and knock me out using evict. It is dumb.
