Ish. Wouldn't mind, but there's already fairly high pressure for variation on the tile system as is.

I like this, but I agree with Granger, it would be nice for all stone types, not just ore. If visually "cluttering", we could also get the ability to "smooth stone" which basically turns the ground into normal cave floor.

Or perhaps be able to dig each tile for +1 extra stone of that type (and then transform it into normal cave floor)

I mean, possibilities/ideas to make it work are endless :D

You can already dig paving in a cave to remove it.
