There was a wise soviet conscript that was surrounded by the enemy on the battle of Stalingrad. A mortar shot teared his pants apart causing a big hole in his pants right on his right butt cheek. He felt a glorious cold ass breeze of wind on his butt cheek, like it would be sent by stalin himself, he said - hide your butts

I would like it easier, I would like a single quality system (instead of 3) , and I want the crop quality to increase 1-2 levels each planting with no chance of decreasing , i would have it capped by your farming skill.

We don't have anything that would really mess with our crops (crows, rabbits, etc) currently, so suggesting such a thing would get a negative response. It's the same idea back in World of Warcraft's beta days, where it used to be that playing to long would make it so your character would be tired, and therefore receive less experience points. They changed it then so that not playing for a time, your character would become "rested" and would receive more experience, when in reality they didn't change anything but the phrasing from "Tired" to "Rested".

If I came into this game with crows eating my food, it wouldn't be as bad, in fact I might think they'd be interesting to see. But since it's being suggested now, it's negative towards me because they would do nothing but be a bother. What I would suggest is if these ideas (some, not all) would be implemented, it would come in the form of a rather big farming update.

Ex:
Crows are introduced.
- Downside: They are a pest.
- Upside: Can be repelled with scarecrows, and can be trapped for extra meat.

Same thing for rabbits, if it attracts them, I would like some means of catching them with a trap or something.

If produce now rots, I would also like to be able to make fertilizer and have Grain Silos and other places to store my produce to extent their shelf-life.

Being able to turn a bad situation into a good one is key.

World 9: Founder of SnoopVille, Resident of Emerald City
World 7: Hermit and Neighbor to a dead Korean

I'm all for this way of doing things, Granted, for an update like this it would take the Dev's at least 3-5 months of planning, developing, testing before it would become a reality, but hopefully it will be something they consider after they get a siege/combat system rolled out that they are happy with.

Overall I like the idea of pests, farming should be more exciting on later gameplay too. GamingRAM really has a point, if you don't add upsides to the pests, farming would be just as annoying as it is in Project Zomboid.
