Map Expansion?

Yeah it would be cool if there was like uhh winter and crops wouldnt grow then and we would have to struggle to get food and stuff :? :?

And then fresh babe enters game and starving to death. Very good.

I think we can have a balance for this. Difference region to the map. So in centers it can be warm and north/south pole is very colder. Then you will have a choose to pick where you will go determined by starting race. Eventually, anybody who can have a start in the center maps is known as nab for picking noob race. These players will be discriminated against. It can add to some realism and give players some things to rally around.

or the ice age would start in the center of the map and then move into outer regions and map would be gradually expanded eventually forcing players to move out or make them struggle with the ice enviroment

Events which forced people to relocate could totally be cool. Shift the balance of the population around. mite b cool

I agree that it would be a design flaw even though this game has had some of the most meaningful exploration ive seen in a game in a long time i really think you guys should reduce the randomness of finding things and instead do something that is more deliberate to me the randomness makes exploring more dull doing something you guys may want to consider doing some sort of tracking system where you have to track down whatever resource you are looking for you could use a similar system to the crime scents where youd follow a scent of the resource youre looking for and then eventually youd be rewarded with a larger amount of that resource you could make the resource tracking like a puzzle or something or make random events happen during the tracking so as to make it more difficult i could go into more detail if you want but my real goal is to inspire some development on the scavenging and hunting systems
longer waits + bigger payoffs = meaningful interaction
