The thing I dislike is that it's more viable to plant a new tree to get leaves, seeds, etc. than it is to wait for a tree to regrow its resources. Realistically, this doesn't really make sense, and it seems counterintuitive, in my opinion.

This. Tree's and bushes should at least regen much faster.

there should be infinite branches/leaves/seeds.. it is a tree after all..
