I did like old travel system alot better. trade and visiting friends was alot easier.
I is very important as mentioned tho that such a system does not cost localized resources as that would give too much of an advantage to the holder of said recourses.

As a casual and as a hermit I ahven't gotten a singel crystal all world, a vidol I can live without and to be unable to defend against catapult (I suppose). But pls not also traveling. (Tbh just remove localized resources all together imo)

Roads are fine, kids with too much free time that can bash road that goes across entire map are the problem.

even if it is dangerous it isnt true because thats what alts are for
and i dont think it takes longer to bash, because gathering resources, chopping em and then building takes a lot more time than simply bashing it, and they dont have high soak or hp

whats their soak? and even if its high it takes more time to do because u have to take few actions instead to build while to destroy just a > y > click

Can't disagree that it takes less clicks/actions to bash them. I would like them to increase HP of the road sign, so it takes way longer to bash it than it took to build it, double or triple time from what it is right now which would hurt at all. I just disagree that you should be able to fast travel to anywhere without any "consequences or risks" and almost no effort as it was in the old system, which is why jorb probably removed the crossroads in the first place.

The old system solution would been perfect for world 8 when the world was enormously big and building roads didnt work at all. Now when theres such a small world as it is now, you can travel anywhere on foot on the map in just matter of hours and road system works perfectly for the current world as it is.
I made a stone road going from a border to the opposite border in 6-8 hours or so, if you have friends who would like to contribute help building such a road it would been even way easier.
