A couple of issues I see with tiles that would be near impossible to mine or completely unmineable are I foresee the possibility of someone creating a minehole down in the middle of such an area in a way that their surrounding location is comprised of tiles that are close to or totally unmineable thus creating a vault scenario.

Second one would be that if you do create such a build-near limitation this won't matter if you don't actually need any walls (unmineable tiles) and it's also just an annoying implementation.

Still, it is possible always to break into wall surrounding this minehole, no? Attack from above levels.

Of course, it's not always so simple to get to a spot a level above though if it's not built within or near a cave system that has replicated itself at least somewhat the level above. Were this to be something that changes next world it will be even harder to do so, not that I think that's a bad thing.

Maybe add a machine that mines, not like a huge piece of machinery, just... Something else. It would have a equation that would allow it to mine harder tiles at equal Strength and Q of a Pickaxe, just slower, and it would have to be manned, and because of you being help by the machine, it'd take less energy to mine.

What was the first mechanical mining implement?

unmineable tiles not a problem at all, because With this siege system you cant kill character in town. your enemy can change town to another and you must start sieging again to get him and then again and again.

Can someone say something about statues.
I think it will be nice to explore lvl 1 and lvl 2 for this statues and after your find them you can move it to your base ( not nice with this siege system people will move them every time when statue in danger) or make copy of this statue and get you OWN statue for your base. I think its very nice.

Also about lvl 4 that will be as lvl 5. And lvl 5 will be more difficult. Its really good for people like me who get lvl 5 in first two weeks and then it was so boring same thing every day. When you get q170+ pick axe lvl 5 start to be to easy with 200 str.
In fact after pickaxe was buff they start to be overpowered on q more then 120+, so we need some challenge on lvl 5 to balance this pickaxe buff for example make tiles more hard, separate areas so you cant get access to all lvl 5 with 1 minehole ( 3 tiles wall as i write early).Increasing reward for lvl 5, I think increasing max quality not good choice but increasing minimum quality give you more chance to get something good.
