What I meant by this is someone in real life, playing the instrument into a recording device, and playing it.

I don't think the original guslars would be able to do that with their instruments to create some original sounding. It's basically a few strings on a wooden board, the sound is quite similar to a harp (musician grabs few strings at once with one hand or another).

Btw, this is the music contest video from the last world. It was held at Ventian Emporium, ran by me.
We have also had Flayme as at the permanent musician position. He would play music at the market during the events and held 2 solo concerts.
The point is, that we could have music more widespread and etc. if it would be a bit easier for the ordinary folk without musical education. Like, advanced musicians could record their notes to a paper. And the noob could click on the notes and play the tune automatically.

Meh, enough locally born toys. Lets introduce something really serious:
Viola De Gamba
Pipe organ
Chorus)

PS consider silver strings, plz.

There is an option available already to do this and the music does play nicely (at least for me on an above average computer). The only issue is that the amount of octaves the game allows makes it difficult to find a midi that plays well but when you do find one it sounds decent.

Yes, we definitely need more musical instruments to the 4-5 instruments we already have and they being used as often as fyrdsman's swords are used for combat.
Thank you, I bet more instruments will keep people in the game! Great suggestion bby to add to your "90% of the suggestions in C&I are trash" saying.

The only reason for that is keyboard input. How many people would bother modding for the sake of music?

Mabinogi has a cool system implemented for instruments. You play a song while 'recording' it onto paper, making sheet music. then you can automatically play that song again from the sheet music. How well you play depends on your skill, but i don't think Haven needs a music skill.
Have a question? Need help? Tired of people asking questions? Haven and Hearth Wiki.
