i would think of dragons more as a world event where a dragon spawns and the villages race to kill him and theres a huge bloodbath and the dragon skull can be made into something powerful and his scales and leather combined with gold would make the best endgame armor

Yeah this cause if it spawns consistantly then everyone will have killed a dragon but by making it spawn only during events it makes it a rare comoditiy and gives people a reason to log on for events.

i would say best because why would armor you are able to get via labour and some grinding was supposed to be better than a fuken dragonscale from a rarely spawning dragon that is hard to kill

I see what you mean, but unbalance is one of the big things that plagues this game, and having one or a small group have extremely strong armor that no one else could get, meaning others would always lose, would drive players away.

if killing the dragon was only for feat it wouldnt give players motivation to do it,and still equipment isnt THAT crucial in combat

I was thinking about the idea of dragons, and I think that the biggest problem would be dragons just wandering all over the place, so there wouldn't be any point in hunting them. But what if the devs make it so that dragons can only be found via quest?
First, you would have to have really high fighting stats before the quest could even be found and even then the quest should be incredibly rare. Then after recieveing the quest either the quester has to go to a certain spot and the dragon spawns, or the dragon spawns after a certain amount of time after the quest begins. That way the quester can prepare and maybe get others to come and help. But once the dragon spawns, it will try to kill the quester and if the quester is KO'd or killed, the dragon leaves and the quest fails. The dragons stats will be determined by the stats of the quester.
It would actually give players a reason to complete quests and it wouldn't be like trolls where you could just send alt after alt after it.

Heya, that is an intereting idea. However, I've read somewhere that the devs do not want to implement dragons if they'll be just another mob like a troll or a mammoth.
But the quest completion and dragon hunt is a very interesting idea. It would encourage people to wander around the world more + not easily botted.
