How about being simple and adding a posting rule to C&I?
Add a hashtag under your posts, showing the content of it.

That has its own complications because of wording and spelling. #Weather #Wethar #Rain #Snow #Snowing #Storms would all pertain to the exact same thing but be listed as their own tags rather than sorted together. You could also end up with multiple tags for the same thing, like we see on sites like Twitter. #Prince #PrinceDeath #RememberingPrince #RIPPrince etc. and many others were trending that day. All of the posts were intended for the exact same thing but organization and categorization are difficult.

I think in that case using the advanced search mechanisms could help. Like adding the * symbol/

Place + in front of a word which must be found and - in front of a word which must not be found. Put a list of words separated by | into brackets if only one of the words must be found. Use * as a wildcard for partial matches.

So, place "+" in front of the hashtag symbol, * for the word Prince

huh, I had no idea there was an advanced search feature like that tbh. I'm guessing most others don't as well? I don't want to speak for others, just guessing. I still would like to see an app or section in forums with drop down menus for the categories of development/ideas more tightly organized with an upvoting system of some kind.

That would be great, but I think almost every thread I've seen has a healthy mix of ideas and plenty of bs (especially the update threads). Its funny I was literally typing out "penis measuring" and then 2 seconds later I read the rest of your post saying that lmao. I guess people just need to be heard and they think posting their kills/shittalk in update threads will get them the most attention sigh. Which I think an app could help squash. We could have an "upvote" system like a lot of other apps/forums (reddit I'm picturing atm) which would bring the good stuff to the top and filter out the annoying bs.

TBH I don't want the forums to change, this is one of the few forums I actually read, simply because the goofiness and trolling are pretty entertaining at points. I would just like to see the trolling separated from the actual ideas/dev plans, and an upvoting system (app) could contrast the turd ideas from the ideas that could improve things and be viewed more efficiently.
