I agree that game needs more of a purpose or a trigger that makes big villages expand and defend area. I think that is the intended endgame.

Honestly, I'm too lazy to trade. So often I just give away seeds and such. I don't think it's that hard to get high crops late world stuff if you interact with your neighbors.
