damn u amanda, corrupting the voters
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Agreed, there should be something world events happening once in a while that people could fight over.

It shouldn't be something that you can just pick up, it probably has to be something you have to extract. This means you need to set up an outpost to get giving competition time to try to wrestle from you. Alternatively you can have have resource be something living like Ussuri Brown Bears whom has 1.5 to 2.0x quality butcher items of normal bears.
If you want something good that is easy to get, it should spawn where it is furthest away from idols and claims, the bigger the town, the more likely it will spawn far away from them. I was going to say have it most lilely spawn near small hermit settlement or small village but I fear malicious factions will raid them for it.

dumb, weapons and armor don't appear naturally in nature.

I think you should have to memorize the resource by right clicking it to be able to see its arrow.
