I wouldn't mine if there was a larger footprint stockpile for simple bulk stuff like dirt and stone that could only be added to/removed from with a wheelbarrow.

currently it is easier to store it in per tile storages otherwise , stockpile need to be 1x1 and have storage capacity over 500.
