I would like to see a window of vulnerability set by a defender.
Will be abused.
Siege equipment is invulnerable until 24 hours later + start of next window of vulnerability.
Will be abused too.

Your suggestions will lead to noob massacre in the first place.

Let me clarify for you, in case there is confusion.
A window of vulnerability represents a set number of hours by which a city or holding may be sieged.
For example:

New Brodgar's astute leader, upon interacting with his vclaim, decided that New Brodgar would be vulnerable to siege between the hours of 12:00 UTC and 16:00 UTC.
LadyGoo, angry at New Brodgar, decdes on October the 19th at 17:00 UTC to siege New Brodgar, and immediately constructs a siege-machine that costs 100 brimstone outside the walls of New Brodgar.
24 hours pass, it is now October the 20th at 17:00 UTC. New Brodgar will now be vulnerable to attack at the next window of vulnerability.
It is now October 21st at 12:00 UTC. DIS forces are waiting outside New Brodgar with their siege engine at the appointed hour to break into the city. New Brodgar, having been on notice of the siege which will begin at their window of vulnerability is there to defend.

We fight.
New Brodgar is either successful at destroying the siege machine, or DIS is successful at destroying the VClaim.

New Brodgar will build several shields with different vulnerability hours. Not to mention personal claims: your guys were telling us how they'll remove the vclaim from the pclaims when we'll break in. So we'd have to siege more claims.
If you'll say that I can siege any village in the area, then I can just build my own village neaby and set whatever hours and siege it = cascade siege yours.
If you'll say no villages can be built near, then noone will ever siege you.

Fortunately for the attackers sieging a cascade of vclaims, they can be destroyed one at a time, each destroying the vclaim, and therefore the ENTIRE shield network.
If New Brodgar are botters like DIS that can easily replace the networks, fortunately the new ones (and surrounding walls) shall have no soak, allowing you to destroy them in the off-hours as you repeat your siege until you destroy the heart of New Brodgar.

All Pclaims under the vclaim will share the same window of vulnerabilty. The siege engine will have access to destroy any of the subservient claims.

The siege engine can not move away from the claim upon which it was placed adjacent to.
