there is no skill to it and people dont even use the gobpaths when it comes to archery they aim off portrait and shoot off portrait and if its a decent aim bar it should hit like 100% of the time you can be aiming in complete opposite direction and double tap the portrait and it should like 180 shoot the guy without losing any speed/dmg basically and it will hit

maybe some of the archery issues could be resolved by introducing line of sight like in fallout? you can hide behind a cactus and then the enemy cannot target you because he doesnt see you etc...

It definitely shouldn't work that way but even if they removed aiming/shooting via the portrait you'd still have the paths to look at. What is so hard about shooting a person when you can precisely line up the position of their character and where you are going to shoot? And what makes it worse is they aren't default client features so not everyone has access to them.

Someone brought up a good point to me that I hadn't even thought about but why did they leave this garbage unchanged with the addition of the openings combat, it makes no sense to have two combat systems that work against each other.

Getting current combat took enough time. I think they want to get good melee core and then fix archery later.

Isn't this more an issue of them removing the stat cap than the boar spear itself?

I assume the guy in the video has over 2-3k perception or something like that.

they just need to implement more diminishing returns on stats so its very hard to get over 1k. maybe make it so all stats are tied in with eachother so its harder to raise 1 stat alot higher than the rest.
