I recall the silver and gold paving having some window-like lines running through either the middle or close to the edges and it looked really strange but I just paved a gold bar to test and it looks clean so maybe it just happens with more paving or I'm wrong.

The overlay with the gaps between the stones look bad at times, especially on bigger areas. Sadly I have no suggestion how to improve that, apart from using a bigger texture so the repeats in the pattern are more seldom which could remove the (at times) industrial look of pavement.

One related thing though: please remove the overlay with the stone tile seams from the map as it destroys brick art.

I'd like this, but it's stress on the tile system presently.
