500th root

or just find out where bots are (by simply spawning new char in areas where they probably are) and then get rid of em, although i don't know if devs will want to spend time on it i doubt it requires much work

thats not how it works lol if you killed a dis farming bot all they would do is spawn another one and have it running within the hour due to botted troll skulls and botted exp lol

Stat caps didn't fail, endgame did. That is, the fact that there isn't one. Pushing numbers to infinity is a sad excuse for an endgame, and the reason why most people who don't bot quit a couple of months into a world. Establishing a base is fun, but maintaining it just gets tedious when it's the only thing there is to do.

that and the fact that curios, didn't slow down botting, in fact it may have increased it.

Correct me if I'm wrong Potjeh, but stats that we see now were no way close to the "bot" chars back in world 3. but then again maybe I am missing something here.

I know we will never go back, and I don't think we need to, but more innovation with exp points is needed, or tweaked

Poor idea. This way 2 (or 3, or 4) fresh spawn players always beat one. So some botter will just spawn 10 alts, learn rage in 24 hours and write a combat assistance bot. Put that with auto aggro and auto chop-chop-chop near all your gates and you are ruined.

This is a very old fight and generally one people like to bring up saying "stat progress IS balanced"
no....no it's not.
speed combat has always been a % the higher you are the higher % until a max of 15%? but only for speed.
BUT the kicker was all the bots would have TONS of Hp.
meaning you can take your titan and go take out a small army of noobs.

The term titan came from just that. a Dude who had a ton of stats to the point he didnt care about defence.

Then when you did die, you can go back to your q 500-800 crops eat and basically get back into action in less then a few hours after your q500-800 cuiros popped.

Stats simply shouldn't effect combat, besides HP maybe. Focus should be on the highest quality weapons and armor.

But then people will just equip alts with the best gear and have nothing to lose.

So perhaps make combat stats softcap gear quality? Would certainly make for an interesting change
