A bit marginal. I'd actually rather see it become weather dependent.

Softcapping hide quality would make more sense for drying racks - then speeding up with fire would be a realistic venue, maybe with a downside (drying quicker will reduce quality - the one before the softcap of the rack - or something).

You are dumb, your ideas are dumb.
Of course better quality drying rack works better, because you can stretch the thing tighter.

With your dumb logic everything in this game is work. Seeds just magically improve when you plant them? So does the wood?
Metal smelting is so unrealistic, animals are unrealistic, combat is unrealistic. Nothing makes sense. With your logic the whole game should be deleted

there are trolls in the game.. why are you even bringing up whats realistic and whats not? lol i think the fire pit and dried hides is an awesome idea.

why would quality of the rack have any effect on drying

it's hanging in the air

the breeze dries it, you could hang it on anything

Mmhm and to what extent does weather impact cave areas? Kind of sounds like dry on surface incase of good forecast and in cave to have average dry speed if surface is temporarily bad.

JORB, YAS, ADD WEATHER CONDITIONS. RAIN, WINDY, SNOWING? SO MUCH YAS

maybe when it rains all crops get a small percent boost in how fast they produce?
