I also dislike the general prohibitation to build the leantos right onto structures. Had a friend (Thrima) in W9 that was building chicken-coops and leantos onto his timerhouse to make it look like a roof-extention. Had all set up and then the error message killed my plan.

It was changed to be like that because people were using them to fence in siege equipment right up to walls
