I'm sorry, but that's not true. just because you can raise well Q a few points at a time doesnt mean its better. being able to dowse on land just creates a much larger area for people to search for water Q.

imagine a hermitage, thats few tiles away from a q40 water node and there is this member of a huge faction that just tresspassed into his claim to taste it and he finds it to his liking, next day the hermit has to relocate because he is besieged. Right now people look in few places and thats it, they finally settle for 1 spot and go to the next one. I dont want no factions tasting my water.

I've had the same thought, but I also feel that it makes it a bit too easy to find the best water spots.

Make it so that the Dowsing rod will only show water quality up to the quality of the rod, hardcapped as most things are for survival.

IE a quality 35 Dowsing rod will only tell you the water below you is 'quality 35'.
