And boars are all you will ever hunt without exploits, because every other animal is faster than hearthlings.

lure them near a cliff, block them with a boat or something and punch to death, can do same thing on shallows with the boat just without actually being on one yourself, but hey why bother if there is an easier, game breaking feature! On my island I have prepared 3 pockets like that already where i can easily hunt game without worrying it will get away.

That's pretty much what exploits are.

using enviroment to your advantage is an exploit? you do realise I fight it fairly in that pocket with melee skills. Boat hunting uses the exploit which is that on the brief sec of attack you are withing range of game which makes it not run away from you, the fight itself is nothing ground breaking, people do the same with ants by pulling away from them and mending openings, gave you example that it is possible to actually hunt in this game yet you actually stay blind to that - shame on you.

Exploits need to be fixed...but i guess removing combat from boats,etc..it's not the right solution.

Hunting is not perfect, but i believe its much better to slowly claw your way up from ants to bats to foxes and boars rather than a naked alt killing game using boats.... come on...

Its not boat hunting thats the problem. It's animals running faster than lightning when fleeing. Ants being way to overpowered. Combat discoveries being completly random ( no take aim after days, but tons of moves that require IP). And also arrows capping the q of the animals. Those things should be fixed first if you want actual good boat hunting.

If you have to use an exploit to hunt then proper hunting will never be fixed, if they removed boat hunting, then proper hunting would get more love.

I'm dyin IRL. After a page of high-horse "git gud, don't use exploits to hunt, just git gud" he follows up with "If you wanna hunt without using exploits, trap them in with cliffs or boats on shallows, etc."

If you're not trolling you just destroyed your credibility, gg

I count on J&L making hunting better.

Meanwhile, I just make a party with few hermites and go for foxes and boars. Ofcourse, we could alreay do boars od bears while boat hunting, but we want to be "fair". Sure, maybe most of the people will call us stupid, idiots and etc. but at least, I, myself, like playing this game that way.

But the fuckin chase if animal starts to run...
