....just another exploit to me.

That is the point of the suggestion,,, to NOT need exploits.

And what does this chasing accomplish? You do it for 12 RL hours so they bleed out?

oh god it's fast....you simply make sure to exit combat when he is running away in a direction you don't want.
I'm only saying it's already easy even if they not reaggro you....so we need a better system.....not what suggested from OP.

Trap to slow them down/make them bleed harder

I don't think you understood the suggestion, or even the problem.

Not terribad. Will consider!

If you are fighting on foot and if the animal is faster than you, you can only try to bring him in a place where he cannot run away from you, grasslands with cliff, etc...
To make this once he is fleeing, you exit combat....step away to make him don't run anymore, approach him again and walk around him in a way when you reaggro him he will flee in the direction you choose. Otherwise even if he would be aggressive when you reaggro him you still need to do this everytime he flee away, at least 3-4 times before you can kill him....so it's not that good solution cause people of course would prefer to trap him somewhere, using cliff etc...simply cause is way faster to do and this can be done already with the actual system. I cannot more clear than this.

Yeah you're right it's a workaround...at least it requires some dedication to be done: otherwise you can always follow them, they leave bloods trail, etc..soon or later will die.
Aggresive behavior on reaggro is not a solution for the hunting system also....it makes them even more exploitable, and it's why people is asking for this, simply to bring them back on shallow water = meat bags. ( and of course is possible even now, but at least requires a bit of dedication)

With this system, wouldn't you be able to peace animal at the start of the fight and reagro it as soon as it runs, making it unable to get away from you at all?
