Kill a high quality animal and turn its flesh/bones into high quality soil.

Composting flesh and bones? I thought only crops could be composted and also forgot compost bins existed

Why can't your softcap for mining be (masonry+toolq)/2??

Also different q fields for different ores suck, or at least give us a set quality increase for each level down. Mining q30 bloodstone on level 3+4 makes me wanna cry. It actually feels like I've just wasted my time making mining holes ect. Best q iron, tin, copper and coal I've found are all on level 2 while everything deeper is q 20-50 or less.

My q20 bloodstone on level 4 feels your pain. There are silly things going on with mining right now. I don't mind each ore/stone having its own quality field, but I do mind finding ore thats lower than my level 1 shit consistently.
Poppycaps should have a higher quality for each level, trolls base quality should increase as you get lower(pretty sure they don't right now at least).

Yes you can compost bone and meat.

You won't get any sympathy for your pickaxe quality problems with that attitude.
People are not doing everything they can to raise the quality of pickaxe why should devs make it easier for the complainers then?

Will consider variable qualities within the same node, at least, but different qualities for different minerals is not going anywhere.
