Because I collect them for rope and fishing lines. I find them quite useful for sewing as well.

I once asked for a stockpile for Ropes and got this answer from Jorb:

I guess.

Been bumping it at a lot of different times. I really really really want this feature in the game. I am not asking for an increase to stockpiles, just the ability to stockpile these things. Please Jorb, hear my plea.
