I remember reading something like this a few years ago and thought it would be a good suggestion brought in here fer trial recruits.

*Inviting a Player to a Village now flags him as a "Trial Member". Trial Members by default do not have the Waste Ability.
*Trial Village Members who party other members do not pass on waste permissions.

Also to help negate these spy situations, making it harder for spies would be to add:
Keyring slot to character doll
Attune keys to character/account not anyone picking up and having free access
Springs for gates that will make them autoclose after 20 seconds so the spy has to either sit there opening gate non stop or try and make tons of keys.

You can just do this manually. Inviting someone to village and taking away their vandal rights will make them not pass on vandal rights to their party members. Make your normal villagers blue or w/e, then make trial members yellow or some shit. Give blue full perms, give yellow all perms but vandal. Problem mostly solved. Alternatively, put field cairnes on the wall and take away vandal rights on the field cairnes from everyone.

Other way around is to give nobody vandalism through village interface and drop cairns into areas where it's needed.

Feeling that this has been resolved, but unhappy about the siege system generally.
