Peaceful players would need to get the skill.

Bad reasoning

Moving the cata should not be a siege defense. They can try to destroy it by hand instead

You mean shit tactic (alts moving cata) vs legit tactic (building and camping a catapult with mains)

Sorry if you think sieging is a shit tactic

Jordan don't even bother responding to shitpizle the q95 ball clay noob, not worth the typing.

As an alternative we could suggest that instead of having the siegecraft skill having 50 perc & 50 marksman which would normally be needed to fire would be required to move.

This is easier to get as 25+25 is quite little LP, but also makes it so you can't flood alts who have literally zero.

i do think having a set str to move it would be reasonable

Going that route, strength would be a better stat to use for pushing and not firing

But I still don't like the idea of rolling a catapult back and forth as a means of defending and lowering the catas health for bashing

Bashing and rolling are 2 roles which should be divided between the two siege positions (defender and attacker) imo

That has nothing to do with this post

It sounds weird and stuff but if locks were implemented on catapults it'd be fixed as well.

But for the sense of realism this might conflict.

Therefore if some metal-chain item is created, which has key-like properties it would work.

So what I mean is raising catapult building cost (if you want it not to be movable by others) by some metal chain (which has the lock).

Think steel is a pretty strong metal for this. This idea would only prevent movement and keep destruction rate the same.

Seems more balanced to me, thoughts?
