This. Nidbanes are too binary in their current form to be balanced.

Don't worry, we can balance the cost by adding hardleather, rope and boneglue

It's a classic fix that applies to everything

The point of this thread isn't to make nidbanes unbeatable menace or buff them. In their current state in a 1vs1 with no exploits, they are beatable and an even match if done correctly but the problem is that there are exploits as others noted like with the stairs that need to be fixed. Also, none of the things posted in this thread state anything about buffing nidbanes to make them over powered. Simply just to rework some mechanics so they are fixed or at least a reasonable threat so people have second thoughts about their actions.

Forcing people to 1v1 vengeful incantationed nidbanes makes them overpowered.

Killing every single human beeing without the chance of revenge is overpowered 2.
Why not adding an accountant to those chars or accounts that tend to kill everything that moves and are middly developed?
That way destroying the playerbase can be countered somehow.
Once a counter surpases certain limit even crafters who doesnt leave walls can be targeted by nidbanes.
This could be done by counting chars played time, stats and structures builded or stuff done.

Or the nidbane can be beatable but will inflict status effects that will last for quite a while.

Or better alternative is that the overall total of the nidbanes targetted is the power value. You can send 1 nidbane with a power of 1 to 1 or 5 nidbanes with each a power 1/5 to 1. Aka the power of all the nidbanes = 1/x where x is the amount of nidbanes on that target.

Nidbanes leave PTSD. GG.

but no like really.
Nidbanes are shit.
They protect the strong more then the weak.

And most players who are in factions use a fighter alt.
So kill a fighter alt. Sure, you lose your top pvp god fighter alt.
but it does not really stop a PvP/raider faction who has an number of alts that can be granted.

Also you get players who arnt hardcore getting owned by nidbanes cause they went out to murder a murder alt blocking their gates.
Nidbanes can be used for grief...

They don't really make anyone think twice about killing anyone if you know how to deal with em.
